02 · Data We Collect

What we collect from the inquiry form

When you submit an inquiry through the form on our website, we collect the following fields:

• Name
• Email address
• Tank size (m³)
• Purpose (wastewater or firefighting water)
• Free-text description / shipping location (if you provide one)
• Language of the submission (FI or EN)

Our website also uses Vercel Web Analytics for visitor statistics. This service collects anonymous aggregated data about page views, uses no cookies, and does not link the data to individual users.

03 · Purpose

How we use your data

We process your data only for the following purposes:

• To respond to your inquiry
• To prepare a possible sales transaction for a glassfiber tank
• To stay in contact with you while negotiating the quote

We do not use your data for marketing without your separate consent, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

04 · Legal Basis

Lawful grounds for processing

Processing is based on the following articles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Article 6(1)(b) — pre-contractual measures (preparing the quote you requested)
• Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest (communicating with a potential customer)

05 · Third Parties

Service providers that process your data

We use the following service providers who process your data on our behalf as processors:

• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — relays form submissions to our email. Data passes through this service at submission time but is not retained there.
• Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) — website hosting and content delivery. Also provides the anonymous visitor analytics (Vercel Web Analytics).
• Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) — web font delivery. Your IP address is transmitted to Google's servers when fonts load.
• unpkg (Cloudflare Inc.) — delivery of JavaScript libraries used by the site.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU, but only under GDPR-approved transfer mechanisms (e.g., the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

06 · Retention

How long we keep your data

We keep inquiry data for 12 months from the last contact. If we enter into a contract with you, customer-related data is retained longer in accordance with the Finnish Accounting Act and other statutory obligations — typically 6–10 years after the contract ends.

07 · Your Rights

Rights of the data subject

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request rectification of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”)
• Object to processing or restrict it
• Receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability)
• Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi)

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our operations or applicable law change. We will announce material changes on our website. The current version is always available at www.eccua.fi/privacy.

Cookie consent and how to change it

We display a cookie consent banner on the homepage. Your choice is stored locally in your browser's localStorage (key: puhastid_cookies) — never in cookies, never on our servers.
